Ingredients

  • 3 cups packed fresh basil leaves
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts

Instructions

  • Combine basil, garlic, Parmesan cheese, olive oil and nuts in food processor.
  • Blend into a smooth psate.

Notes

This easy, quick recipe is perfect for freezing so you can have a taste of Summer in the middle of Winter.
  • Additionally, you can add salt and pepper.
  • Garlic should be to taste!
  • Toasting nuts is not required but I like to toast them in a pan just until they become fragrant.
  • Pine Nuts can be substituted with other nuts: walnuts, pistachios, almonds, and even sunflower seeds.
