Hello Food Cookers - Italian Meatball recipe

Italian Meatball Recipe

Double Recipe! Freeze half for next time.

Recipe Review

My original recipe came from my Mema. Her recipe lacked details but not flavor. When my husband and I started trying recipes and making them our own, this was one of the first. I encourage you to do the same! Try this one, look at different recipes, try creating your own.

Possible ways to alter:

  • Add onion. Diced or pureed.
  • Use different kinds of meat.
  • Use only one kind of meat.
  • Pan-fry before baking in the oven.

The recipe given makes enough for freezing half the meatballs for later.

Cook until the internal temperature is 160 degrees.

Keyword: Italian, Pasta

  • 1.5 lbs Ground Pork
  • 1.5 lbs Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 cup Italian Breadcrumbs
  • 1/8 cup Fresh Italian Parsley chopped
  • 2-3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1-2 pinch Ground Cayenne Red Pepper OPTIONAL

  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mixing together with your hands. Do not overwork.
  • Cook a bite-size amount in a skillet to test the taste. Add more seasoning if needed. If it doesn't taste good, it is probably missing salt.
  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Shape Meatballs into the desired size. Placing them on a lined cooking sheet or pan.
  • Cook in the oven 20-25 minutes. (internal temp of 160)
  • Transfer meatballs to tomato sauce and let simmer for 20 minutes.

This is a double recipe. I always make enough to freeze half for the next time.
